Welcome to Lower Ladysden, one of Kent's best PYO farms!

Lower Ladysden is a family-run farm, situated in the heart of the Kent countryside, which specialises in the production of fresh fruit and vegetables available for PYO or in our award-winning farm shop.

🍓 We Are Making Some Changes to PYO 🍓

We are making some changes to the way we charge for our PYO fruits at Lower Ladysden Farm.

Rather than weighing your picked fruit at the end of your visit, we are introducing a prepaid punnet system for all customers aged 16 and above.

Punnets are available to purchase on arrival and serve as your entry into the picking areas.

Each punnet is priced at a generously filled level, so please ensure they are not excessively overfilled, where our team determines this to be the case, we reserve the right to weigh the excess fruit and charge accordingly.

Please also ensure that each fruit variety is picked into its own separate punnet, as mixing varieties makes it difficult to process your produce accurately, for example, please do not mix strawberries and raspberries in the same punnet.

Payment is made on entry for all visitors aged 16 and above, so there is no need to queue again before you leave.
Children under 16 may enter the picking areas free of charge when accompanied by a paying adult.

Please take note of the following before you begin picking:

• All visitors aged 16 and above must purchase a punnet to enter the picking areas, regardless of whether they intend to pick. This helps us manage visitor numbers and ensures a fair experience for everyone on site.

• Fruit availability and picking locations may vary week to week depending on seasonal growing conditions. We recommend checking our Facebook before your visit for the latest information.

• Only enter fields, polytunnels, or growing areas clearly marked as OPEN for picking. Entering closed areas can disturb unripe crops and interfere with our harvesting schedule.

• As an active working farm, certain areas will be restricted for operational and safety reasons. Please remain within designated public areas at all times and follow any instructions given by our team.

• Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted in the fruit picking areas. We kindly ask that you make alternative arrangements for your pets before visiting. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

• We do not allow picnics and groups of 10 must call ahead otherwise they will be refused. Coaches are not permitted without prior notice so please give us a call on 01580 213529 if you would like to book one in.
